Ben was the son of Ken and LeAnn Buck.  Ken has been an athletic trainer in Texas for the last 26 years.  At a very young age, Ben was diagnosed with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, also known as brittle bone disease.  Ben was a very active and enthusiastic seven year old boy.  He could work a computer much better then his dad.  His lap top had over thirty-six word documents saved on it.

He loved his t-ball team and would not play unless Dad was at his games.  Brittany, his sister, attempted to stand in for Dad one game because he was running late, but it did not go well.  Ben exclaimed, “Baseball is for Dad and I, not you sissy,” and he did not roll his wheelchair onto the field until Dad showed up.  At the time of his death, he was participating in a research study at St. Jude’s hospital.  After his death, the Buck family asked NTATS to honor his memory with a scholarship.
